Christ Embassy British Columbia – Website Design Project

Strategy

Christ Embassy BC is part of the global ministry of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, with a mission to take God’s divine presence to the world and transform lives through the Word of God.

The goal of this project was to create a modern, responsive, and community-driven website that would serve as a digital hub for worshippers, visitors, and partners.
The website needed to streamline access to sermons, events, giving options, and ministry resources while reflecting the vibrant spirit and vision of the church.

Project Challenge

Before the redesign, the ministry lacked a centralized, user-friendly online platform where members and visitors could:

• Learn about service times, locations, and upcoming events.
• Watch live streams and catch up on past messages.
• Access ministry resources like Pastor Chris’ digital library and devotionals.
• Give online securely and join community initiatives.
• Connect easily with pastors, volunteers, and ministry leaders.

The challenge was to merge all these features into a seamless, visually inspiring experience without overwhelming the user.

The Design Approach

I adopted a minimal, functional, and responsive design strategy that balanced spiritual elegance with modern usability.
Key design priorities included:

• User-Centric Layout – Simple, intuitive navigation to make finding events, sermons, and ministries effortless.
• Visual Storytelling – Using imagery and videos to showcase worship experiences, community programs, and global impact.
• Integrated Digital Tools – Linking resources like the Pastor Chris Digital Library, devotionals, and online giving portals.
• Responsive Design – Ensuring smooth access across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.

The Solution

The final website delivered a vibrant, engaging, and functional online platform that supports the church’s mission and community.
Key features include:

• Dynamic Homepage highlighting live streams, upcoming programs, and calls to action.
• Events & Programs Section with detailed schedules for weekly services, prayer sessions, and conferences.
• Online Giving Integration enabling secure donations directly from the website.
• Resources Hub featuring links to devotionals, media libraries, and ministry tools.
• Membership & Volunteer Forms allowing new attendees to register, join teams, or sign up for first-timer follow-up.
• Multimedia Gallery showcasing pictures and videos from conferences, crusades, and worship services.

Design

UI/UX Design – Built using WordPress + Elementor with a focus on a clean, faith-centered experience.
Art Direction – Employed warm, uplifting colors, engaging visuals, and modern typography to reflect the ministry’s values.
